IU basketball fans haven’t exactly moved past this dismal, frustrating season that couldn’t even get the team invited to the NIT. That’s because they’re still stuck on last year’s loss to Syracuse in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. The Tom Crean backlash just got immortalized in one of the Internet’s most popular memes—Hitler quivering with fury in a war room—and the tirade against the coach blessed with talent this year and last quickly turned back the clock one year, to the day IU’s team with two future top-four NBA draft picks looked totally flummoxed by Syracuse’s zone.
Maybe it’s a good thing no bar in Bloomington serves this IU-centric Irish beer:
