Your personal style in three words?
Comfy, functional, sporty.

Do you have a go-to outfit “formula”?
I rely heavily on my stylist to help get me together. Dressing isn’t easy for me, so I have a team to assist.

Is there a piece in your closet that you couldn’t live without?
A pair of nice pants that are versatile and easy to style.

What are your go-to clothing stores?
Akira in Castleton Square Mall and Meli and Cargo Streetwear Boutique in Fountain Square.

Who are your biggest style influences?
I draw a lot of inspiration from my favorite athletes and also just people on the streets in cities.

Any beloved local designers?
LaStar Jackson Jr. of Saint Avenue and Monty Matuka of Meli.

What’s a favorite outfit you’ve worn for a professional engagement?
It was a monotone look, a cream-colored Austin Reed suit with cream-colored pumps for my interview with [retired NFL tight-end] Shannon Sharpe. I was looking sharp!

As a motivational speaker, you need to embody confidence. How do you choose clothes for those events?
I wear something that’s comfortable and that I’m able to easily move around in.

You bring your own flair to athletic wear. What would you suggest to people who like athleisure but want to level up their style?
First, check out Ajani Sportwear. Incorporate some nice Jordans in the look, and if you like jewelry, wear it. It’s really important to plan your fit if you want to make a statement. Last-minute fits rarely make me feel good or make a true statement.
